Ey Swayel Cultus Lake Swílhcha Community Families,

Welcome back to a brand-new school year! We’re so excited to begin another amazing year with our incredible team — a group of dedicated, caring, and truly inspiring staff who make our school community shine.

Here is what the first week will look like:

Tuesday, Sept. 2 – 7:59 – 9:59 am (busses will pick up at 9:59)

Students will return to their last year’s line-up. The teacher will pick them up from there. 

Students new to Cultus Lake Swílhcha Community School will enter through the front door and meet in the library.

Wednesday, Sept. 3 & Thursday, Sept. 4 - 7:59 – 1:57

Students will return to their last year’s classroom. New students will join the class that they exited with yesterday. 

Friday, Sept 5 – 7:59 – 1:57

Students will return to their last year’s classroom. We should be able to move students to their new ‘this year’s classroom’ during the day.

Important Documents

The following forms were emailed to families this week and are due Sept 8:

• Acceptable Use Agreement (students need this completed before they use technology at the school)
• Media Release
• Indigenous Education Enhanced Services Verification

Paper forms going home Sept 8.  Due back Sept 12.

• Walking Field Trip (students need this to go off-site for Outdoor Learning)

Outdoor learning is a key part of our school day, with classes outside at various times. If you’re picking your child up early, please let the teacher know in advance so they’re ready and not out learning when you arrive!

Bell Schedule

7:54 – Welcome Bell

7:59 – Classes start

10:15 – Recess

10:30 – Classes back in session

11:50 – Lunch Hour (eating – 15 min)

12:05 – Lunch Hour (playing – 30 min)

12:35 – Classes back in session

1:57 - Dismissal

School Supplies

This year, we’re once again able to offer bulk-ordered school supplies, providing quality items at a reduced cost and helping save families both time and money. Your child’s teacher will share the total cost for their supplies, and payments can be made easily through Rycor, our online system.

If cost is a concern, please don’t hesitate to reach out to the office — we’re happy to offer support if needed.
