Well, winter break has officially arrived. I am so proud of our staff and students for making the best out of the hand we were dealt. Our staff have worked tirelessly to ensure our students are safe while still developing wonderful learning opportunities. I would like to thank everyone for their generosity. Our small school was able to donate over 3400 food items to the Salvation Army’s Food Bank. This is amazing. Students were able to enjoy a special treat because we surpassed our school goal of 1000 food items. I am hearing that some people did not receive the concert link with the email that was sent out on Tuesday. Please go to https://vimeo.com/sd33tech/review/490951590/927cbd6bee to enjoy the performance. Finally, we would like to wish all of our families a safe and happy winter holiday. We look forward to seeing our students back on January the 4th.
Daily Screening
At this time, the Chilliwack School District is still following the checklist provided to us by BC Centre for Disease Control. This link is also found on our district website on the COVID page. This may change in the future, but for now, we are airing on the cautious side. You can look at this flow chart to see what happens if we have a person who has been in the school confirmed to have COVID-19.
PAC Facebook Page
Please follow our PAC Facebook page for some of the upcoming events and fundraising opportunities. You can search on Facebook or go to https://www.facebook.com/cultuslakePAC
Super Reader
Please continue to read with your child every day and fill out the Super Reader form. If you have misplaced your form, please contact your child’s classroom teacher. Thank you to the Kiwanis Club for sponsoring Super Reader!
Students Away
When your child is staying home from school, please call the school at 604-858-6266 to let us know. This ensures your child is safe and does not require a Safe Arrival phone call from Mrs. Betts.
Outdoor Play
Winter has arrived and so have cold, rainy days. Please ensure your child has proper outside clothing for the weather, as we will be going outside every day during recess and lunch breaks unless we have extreme weather.
