We were excited to be back at Cultus Lake Community School after the Easter long weekend. Staff are working hard to provide our students with wonderful learning opportunities and many of our classes are spend time outside doing outdoor place-based learning. Our Navigator focus this month is being a good sport while playing outside. This means we are following the rules of the games, showing good sportsmanship and using positive language. As always, please reach out to your child’s teacher if you have any questions regarding your child’s progress or educational programming.
A K to 12 Health Check Mobile App has been developed and should be used daily to determine if students should attend school. An email was sent out on March 30th, 2021, with an updated message around our province’s COVID protocols. More information can be found on our district website on the COVID page. You can look at this flow chart to see what happens if we have a person who has been in the school confirmed to have COVID-19.
Our March PAC meeting was rescheduled to Tuesday, April 13th at 6pm on Zoom. Please go to the following link to attend: https://sd33-ca.zoom.us/j/62676149456?pwd=RUVwdGM1ZTdwcEwzTnRJTVVremMrQT09
Please let us know if you have any questions and we hope to see you at the meeting. If you would prefer to call in rather than use the app, please contact me so I can provide you with the needed information.
Kindergarten registration for the 2021-2022 school year is now underway. If your child will be five years of age by December 31st, 2021, please register on-line at https://sd33.vivosforms.com/Home. We are also working on the staffing process for the 2021-2022 school year. In order to determine staffing allocations, it is important that we have accurate enrollment numbers. If you are planning on moving and know your child(ren) will not be attending Cultus Lake Community School next year, we would appreciate this information and would love to hear from you. If your child is planning on attending another school in the district, you are strongly encouraged to register as soon as possible. Please contact our office to confirm you are moving.

When your child is staying home from school, please call the school at 604-858-6266 to let us know. This ensures your child is safe and does not require a Safe Arrival phone call from Mrs. Betts.
